The title is inspired by this photo taken of me (aka Kay the Runaway in the online space) in the Budapest Keleti train station. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it represents me well. I’m often off to a new destination, leaving a lot behind me while also gathering a lot on the way.
Sometimes I might actually be running away, most of the time I’m just running towards. Towards life and its little lessons, towards whatever it is I haven’t discovered yet–about myself, about others, about this world we live in and the one to come.
This place is somewhere to share those lessons and experiences I’m having. Photography and writing helps me embrace them for what they are, and actually holds me in place, to keep me from always running away to the next before appreciating what’s here and now.
Have you ever run away?
