Rome is undoubtedly most famous for its history and monuments, but I’m inclined to share first my favorite parts, which were mostly found in the details– Especially the adorable cafes and restaurants.

Kings of sweet little cafe fronts

It could very well be that I simply have similar taste to the Italians, but from my first Italy experience I’d say the Italians are unarguably KING of sweet cafe fronts. With flowers, lights, and so much beautiful color, I literally could not stop snapping.

The Italians are KING of sweet cafe fronts. Click To Tweet

And then there’s the food.

And coffee. And hot chocolate. Ber and I went out to breakfast one morning and scored beautiful, yummy pastries. I actually went to Rome for the pizza 😉 but I could have survived on pastries and coffee and not been disappointed. Oh, and I could write a whole post about the delicious tiramisu, which was indeed, soooo good, that I couldn’t pause long enough to get a good photo.

I’d heard my whole life that Italian pizza was different than what I knew as pizza. There is truly some sort of magic spice in that thin layer of sauce!
